When the icy wind howls over the mountains of the Winterlands, you sometimes hear a sound that is neither quite a song nor a scream. This ominous echo announces the arrival of the Winter Harpy – a creature of frost, rage, and insatiable longing.
For a long time, she rests hidden in the frozen depths of the earth. But with the onset of winter, her true nature awakens. Driven by a wild instinct, the harpy rises into the sky above the Winterlands and begins her cruel hunt. Her song lures travelers into the solitude of the snowy heights, where her claws and fury descend upon them.
The influence of the Crimson Frost has made these creatures even more dangerous. The Winter Harpy hunts not only out of hunger but also from a twisted desire for worship. A few cultists even believe that her bloody frenzy is a form of communication – an expression of her ancient loneliness.
For most, however, she is simply one of the cruelest omens of winter: a shadow in the air, a scream in the storm – and death descending from the clouds.
